Need Visa Independent Consultants Need a Data Engineer on my team. This is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite in Oakland and 2 days remote. Below is the Job Description. Send resumes of suitable candidates. The interview will be conducted face-to-face onsite in Oakland and will involve writing SQL/Python on a whiteboard.
Job Duties Work with business users and system developers to understand, evaluate, and document their data needs. Develop, maintain, and manage data pipelines, ensuring data flows smoothly from source(s) to destination(s). Analyze and organize raw data. Build data systems and pipelines that incorporate (extract, cleanse/normalize/transform, and load) data from multiple sources. Explore ways to enhance data quality, reliability, and automation. Monitor performance, develop quality control plans, and identify improvements. Conduct and develop data analysis, interpret the results, and make recommendations. Able to design and enhance the reporting capabilities as needed. Work with vendors and/or external data partners for any data requests and integration changes. Able to liaise with the business users and technical team as needed. Skills 5 years experience as a data engineer or related field. Expertise with scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell. Experience with programming languages such as Java. Hands-on advanced-level experience with SQL (SQL Server and MySQL). Hands-on experience developing reports and analytic models with tools such as Power BI, and SSRS. Experience with creating data pipelines with ETL/integration platform tools such as SSIS and MuleSoft. Experience with scheduling tools such as CA Workload Automation. Well-versed with Microsoft Office suite. Experience with the healthcare industry is desired, but not mandatory. Education Possession of a bachelor s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in MIS, Computer Science, or a closely related field. Nice to have a data engineering certification.
