Techead has partnered with an industrial products client to help them hire a Sr. Data Professional for a full-time position near Appleton, Wisconsin.
Primary Objective: The primary objective for this position will be to implement and maintain a data lake and power BI reporting across multiple subsidiaries in a highly acquisitive, private equity-held business. Working with a systems integrator, this individual will own the asset after the implementation and be responsible for driving innovation.
The ideal candidate has strong SQL skills and experience in building business intelligence tools and will be responsible for the following:
Data Pipeline and ETL Development:
o Design, implement, and maintain efficient and scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using Azure Data Factory or similar tools for data ingestion, transformation, and loading.
Data Modeling and Architecture:
o Create and optimize data models and architecture within Azure Data Lake, ensuring efficient data organization and storage for analytical purposes.
Data Integration and Processing:
o Integrate data from various sources into Azure Data Lake, ensuring data quality, consistency, and alignment with business requirements.
o Implement data processing and transformation using Azure Databricks or similar tools to prepare data for analytical use.
Performance Monitoring and Optimization:
o Monitor and optimize data pipeline performance, Azure Data Lake usage, and Power BI reports for efficiency, scalability, and responsiveness.
Security and Compliance:
o Implement data security measures, access controls, and compliance standards within Azure Data Lake and Power BI to ensure data privacy and regulatory compliance.
Collaboration and Documentation:
o Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for data processes, models, and infrastructure.
Preferred Applications Experience:
o Microsoft D365 Dynamics, Infor SX.e.
Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience actively developing data frameworks from inception to production.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with data visualization tools.
• Demonstrated ability to take complex requirements and create clear, efficient, and effective data solutions.
• Solid understanding of database management, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
• Familiarity with cloud computing services and big data technologies is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of effectively gathering requirements and presenting data insights.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Ambition to grow into a leadership role, with a focus on team development and strategic planning.
