Full job description Radiology Department - Outpatient - seeks Part Time - Evening Shift Customer Service Representative!
Here is a rare opportunity for a
customer/patient focused professional
to support a dynamic and growing radiology team at our outpatient center. In this role, you will Schedule, greet and register Radiology Out-patients following Danbury Hospital and department policies and procedures. We need someone that exhibits
service excellence skills
in accordance with established standards and wants to be an integral part of the healthcare team, providing assistance and support to team members.
Work hours are 4pm-8pm Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday& 7:30am-3:30pm Saturday
. We offer competitive perks and benefits and a $2.50/hour shift differential. Rate is based on FULL Years of creditable experience including Medical Assistants, Billing, Scheduling, data entry - in healthcare. ( $16 - 26/hour plus shift differential. Based on 0 - 15+ years experience of relevant creditable experience) Healthcare experience preferred but extensive customer service candidates will be considered. Non-acute care is offered through various affiliates, Summary:
Schedules, greets and registers Radiology Out-patients following Danbury Hospital and department policies and procedures. Exhibits service excellence skills in accordance with established standards. Functions as an integral part of the healthcare team, providing assistance and support to team members. Responsibilities:
1. Performs reception functions according to department policies and procedures.
2. Schedules and registers patients accurately and completely, properly identifying patients.
3. Performs web-basing to verify patient insurance eligibility and verifies pre certifications for exams when required.
4. Accurately enters orders into Cerner RIS system and send requisition to communicate with technical staff.
5. Demonstrates competency in Radiology information systems (e.g. Cerner, Invision, Soarian, document scannning, etc.) and accurately performs functions related to the position.
6. Adheres to department standards for service excellence.
7. Insures safe environment for staff, patients and visitors.
8. Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
9. Performs other duties as assigned. Other information: Required: Data entry required, strong telephone skills. Minimum Experience: one year Desired: Experience with Cerner, Invision, Soarian, medical terminology, radiology imaging.
