Job Title : Customer Service Associate Job Type: Full Time – Regular Shift Time : 8:00am – 5:00pm ( M – F ) Weekly per hours : 40hrs/week Courthouse Location : Pleasanton, CA, 94588 Pay Rate : $19 to $21/hr Req# 29251 Team members must be able to perform each of the established essential functions in order to perform this job successfully. Knowledge , Skills and Abilities: · Ability lift and maneuver 50lbs.
· Intermediate computer skills in using word processing software applications and online systems (MS Office).
· Skilled in effective communication across all levels within the organization.
· Ability to work independently, organize work and follow through to timely completion on assignments with little to no supervision.
· Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and other client service requests.
· Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
· Ability to establish a rapport and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
· Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
· Ability to regularly attend work and arrive punctually for designated work schedule.
Duties and Responsibilities: · Sort, deliver and pick-up mail and packages according to established internal mail stop time frames and service standards.
· Prepare materials for mailing including: addressing, stuffing envelopes and making labels.
· Ensure that all mail and packages are properly labeled for mailing, with correct postage utilizing automatic postage meter machines.
· Verify and correct mail using available tools.
· Maintain all logs and reporting documentation as required.
· Perform start-up and operations of postage equipment.
· Assist with loading and unloading of deliveries as needed.
· Maintain shipping and receiving area as required.
· Receive and log all incoming items, letters and packages, including certified, registered, return receipt, Federal Express and DHL
· Keep manager advised of associate or employee moves or requests, and other related matters.
· Coordinate special messenger services, air freight, etc.
· Assist with security and monthly measurement reports as required.
Minimum qualifications: · High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
· Minimum of 1 year customer service related experience preferred
· Minimum of 6 months demonstrated knowledge and experience in Mailroom Operations
· Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
· Ability to effectively work individually or in a team environment
· Competency in performing multiple functional tasks
· Ability to meet employer's attendance policy
· Keyboarding and windows environment PC skills
· Lifting up to 50 pounds
· Standing for long periods of time (8 hrs./day)
· Significant walking
· Shifts are 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week, and overtime as required.
Physical Requirement : Tasks involve the ability to exert moderate physical effort, which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderate weight (up to 50 pounds). Tasks may involve extended periods of time standing and/or walking.
Environment Requirement : Tasks are regularly performed both inside and outside with exposure to adverse environmental conditions (e.g., cold, snow, heat, rain).
Pay Disclosure: "The pay range for this position starts at $19; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Bonus opportunities may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered."
