The Compensation and Benefits Specialist coordinates and manages the paid staff compensation and benefits programs. This role is a vital part of the Human Resources team and reports directly to the Director of Human Resources.
Responsibilities Accurately processes paid staff payroll on a bi-weekly cycleAdministers employee insurance programs including health, dental, vision, and retirement insurance plansAdvises and informs employees of changes and developments related to benefits including eligibility, coverage, and provisionsFacilitates accurate and timely delivery of employer contributions and employee payroll deductions to carriers, plan administrators, or other appropriate service providersLeads yearly open enrollment efforts including facilitating employee benefits sessionsPerforms other duties as assigned.Requirements A deep and growing walk with the Lord Jesus that includes your personal spiritual growth and the ability to support others in their spiritual growthEmbrace the vision, mission, and core values of JAARSExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and compensationExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.Proficient with G-Suite or related software.Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS system.Familiarity with ADP is a plusEducation and Experience Associate's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experienceA minimum of 2 years of human resource management experience preferredSHRM-CP or HRCI-PHR is a plus
