We are seeking a dynamic Community Engagement Manager with a passion for fostering inclusive, supportive environments. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on connecting people and is energized by the idea of empowering women in tech. As a central figure in our community, you'll be responsible for sparking engagement among our members on our private Slack platform and elevating our member mentorship program. Your contributions will be key in shaping the careers and lives of women in tech, providing them with the tools and connections to thrive. Key Responsibilities Strategize and execute initiatives to boost and sustain engagement within our Slack community, tailoring efforts to resonate with both students and early career professionals. Manage and moderate RTC's community Slack workspaces and channels, serving as the primary point of contact for community members, answering questions and fostering healthy dialog in a supportive and inclusive environment. Develop, organize and host monthly new member virtual events in a fun and welcoming environment, encouraging members to form connections beyond the event. Manage and oversee the mentoring program, including developing communications to keep mentors and mentees engaged while ensuring ongoing support and communication between mentors and mentees. Develop and implement mentoring-related programs and initiatives for students and Early Career women that address the needs and challenges of our community members, promoting professional development and personal growth. Analyze community feedback and trends, reporting insights to the Senior Vice President of Programs to guide the continuous improvement of RTC initiatives. Analyze community engagement and growth metrics alongside user feedback to identify opportunities and gaps. Collaborate with marketing to create and distribute engaging content relevant to our community, including newsletters, blog posts, and social media updates. Qualifications Needed Bachelor's degree in Communication, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field, required. 2+ years of experience in community management, social media management, or a closely similar role, with direct experience in owning the growth and activation of a Slack community. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire a diverse group of individuals. Experience in managing mentorship programs, with the ability to facilitate productive relationships. Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a proven ability to develop compelling and impactful newsletters that engage and inform our community, while promoting our mission and values. Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail. Creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Slack and other digital tools and platforms used for community management and engagement. Experience with HubSpot/marketing automation tools, Common Room, and organizing events and workshops is a plus! Additional Details This is a remote-first position with travel a few times per year to support community and staff events. Full-time, Monday-Friday, standard business hours. RTC offers an extensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, life, Simple IRA with company match, paid time off, paid holidays. Hiring pay range for this role is $65,000 - $73,000.
