Job Summary Horizontal Boring Machine Machinist must be experienced with operation, setup, program editing, and machining parts to specifications. Must be able to use various measuring equipment to perform the function of this job. Must have strong experience in blueprint reading and math skills. Broad understanding of cutting tools and fixtures is also required.
Job Description Review router and product drawing to select setup, create or edit programs, and machine repaired areas on blowout preventers, top drive equipment and various other oil field equipment Client supports. Calculate and set speeds and feeds according to various materials such as 4130 steel and Inconel 625. Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions, and adjust machine controls and make major program edits as required. Machine parts and components within the specified tolerances, with limited to no scrap and on time with the production schedule. Perform in-process inspections to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and quality standards. Confer with engineers, production personnel, or other Client employees to resolve machining or assembly problems. Perform other work-related tasks as assigned. Comply with all Client Company, HR and HSE policies and procedures. FACILITY/GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Must have a broad knowledge of CNC operation, programming, edits, and tool selection. Work safely in accordance with HSE and facility requirements. Skills Required Must have machining experience. 5+ years' of CNC HBM experience Wirh experience using contouring heads on the HBM. Job shop experience preferred. Experience with the set up and operation of CNC HBM mills. Experience with program editing Proficient in blueprint reading Strong understanding of machine settings (offsets, feeds, and speeds for tooling) Experience with castings/forgings is helpful and highly preferred. At least 5+ years of CNC Horizontal Boring Mill experience Must have previous experience using contouring heads Stable work tenure with previous employers TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
Attention to detail Problem solving Communication Education/Training/Certifications High School Degree or Equivalent Additional Requirements Ability to pass a drug screen and background check. Ability to work overtime when required and stand for long periods of time.

Foster a positive safety culture and possess and contribute to safety awareness. Work Hours: 3:30PM - 12:00AM. If overtime is required, 3:30PM - 2:00AM Pay Rate/Salary $52,000 – $62,400 annually.
