Job summary
The Cloud Architect provides strategic direction for cloud and system design, integration, and management.Responsible for building and deploying the overall cloud and system infrastructure architecture.Researches and informs colleagues on relevant cloud technology best practices and industry standards.

Responsibilities
• Provide strategic direction for cloud and system design, integration, and management.• Stay informed of emerging cloud architectures and assess their viability within the organization's environment.• Design, build, and deploy the overall cloud and system infrastructure architecture.• Work closely with developers to build, deploy, and migrate applications within the organization's hybrid cloud environment.• Research and inform colleagues on relevant cloud technology best practices and industry standards.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training• Cloud Engineer or Architect Certification (GCP, AWS); GCP Preferred• 6-10 years of hands-on experience architecting, building, and deploying cloud solutions.• Experience with programming and coding languages, CI/CD pipeline, infrastructure as code, and configuration deployment tools (Ansible, Terraform).• Experience managing Linux, Windows, Vmware, and load balancers.• Knowledge of software, database, infrastructure, or other IT function.• The ability to translate business needs into long-term architecture solutions.• Advanced knowledge of data storage, processing analysis, and visualization technologies.• Ability to apply department processes and procedures to work.• Self-motivated and works independently and as part of a team.• Problem-solving skills and ability to learn effectively and meet deadlines.• Understanding of business needs and how business systems can support those needs.• Experience with key modeling and description languages and complex system integration.• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.• Knowledge of cloud environments like Google Cloud, AWS, etc.• Experience with hypervisors, storage, Windows, and Linux OS systems.• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and configuration management tools.• Experience producing technical specifications and architectural diagrams.• Proficiency in programming and coding languages.
