Position: Clinical Site Supervisor
Department : Clinic
FLSA Status: Exempt
Reports to: Clinical Services Manager
Summary: This individual will have clinical accountability over a satellite practice location. This individual provides clinical leadership direction, administration and supervises, plan, organizes and directs all aspects of clinic activities to ensure accomplishment of its objectives. Supervises day to day operations to include Clinical Teams, Walk-In, and Radiology. The position requires a clinical background (LPN or MA) and the ability to make decisions consistent with policies and the strict observance of confidentiality of patient information. Establishes work relationships with all team members that fosters high employee morale, participation, and adherence to our Standards of Behavior. Assures regulatory compliance and delivers key performance outcomes. Works collaboratively with other managers and clinic specialties for compliance, workflow and process efficiencies and improvement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Supervise the following site-specific staff: radiology technologist, MA's, RN's, and works collaboratively with other managers and providers. Provide daily clinical and training support as required. This includes casting/splinting, assisting in clinic and clinic education. Oversee ordering of medical supplies. Oversee inventory and stocking of DME products. Care for the appearance of the clinical areas, keep them tidy throughout the day and address any facility issues. Follow all policies and procedures of the organization and department. Contribute to improving processes, procedures, and the Patient experience at Bone & Joint. Provides on-site leadership through example and directives. Follow up and resolve any patient care concerns or complaints. Notices performance and cultural deficiencies and provides training to achieve performance expectations. Lead corrective action and performance improvement issues in collaboration with HR or other managers when needed. Develop, document and implement efficient workflows. Leads and participates in monthly meetings and weekly huddles to provide information, general updates, and policies/procedures to staff. Participates in leadership meetings. Work collaboratively with specialty department leadership on the recruiting and hiring process. Participates in inter-departmental meetings, projects and other needs as requested. Reviews and approves timecards, overtime requests and PTO requests working closely with specialty specific managers and the shared calendar (Pain, Ortho, Radiology). Conducts annual performance reviews for direct reports. Organizes orientation and training schedule of new employees with specialty manager and coordinates staff training during software upgrades. Collaborates with establishing, implementing, and maintaining policies, objectives, and procedures for staff. Works closely with their direct reports to ensure adequate coverage for all facility operations. Provides coverage within the scope of clinical license/certification. Works with providers, management, and staff throughout the organization on operating issues as they arise. Evaluates trends from patient rounding and implements improvement initiatives. Round daily in the facility to help address any facility, patient or staff issues that may arise and direct to other leaders as necessary. Works closely with applicable staff on related site-specific issues. Ad hoc ERT member as needed. Meet monthly patient and employee rounding goals. Ability to be flexible with time to meet the demands of the position and organizational needs. Other duties as assigned. Education/Experience :
Certified Medical Assistant or License Practical Nurse required. Knowledge of the principles and practices of health planning, healthcare and management sufficient to manage, direct and coordinate the operations of a clinic, normally acquired through completion of an Associate Degree in Health, Business Administration or equivalent. High School graduate or equivalent. Minimum of 3 years of healthcare experience (CMA or LPN). CPR Certified Strong technology skills and experience Ability to mentor staff to higher performance standards Ability to respond promptly in stressful situation with poise and tact Qualifications: Experience in clinic supervision preferred. Classes, knowledge and/or experience with Microsoft Word and Excel preferred. Excellent communications skills required. Patience and ability to work with people at all levels, internal and external, required. Compassion for Patients required. Must be able to stay calm during stressful situations. Ability to assist and deal with emergency situations involving patients and or staff. Current and valid WI Driver's required. Ability to travel to various clinic locations.
