Clinical Instructor, Hospitalist/ Nocturnist, UW School / Campus / College: School of Medicine Organization: Medicine, Cardiology Title: Clinical Instructor, Hospitalist/ Nocturnist, UW Position The Division of Cardiology, Department of Medicine, University of Washington School of Medicine and UW Medicine Heart Institute is seeking a full time (1.0 FTE) physician for a Hospitalist and/or Nocturnist position at the UW Medical Center. Successful candidates will be strong clinicians with an interest in general cardiology. The successful candidate will be expected to manage the full spectrum of inpatient cardiology patients, ranging from general and interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, advanced heart failure and transplant. This will be done working with and in consultation with cardiologists and cardiology advanced practice providers. The job is a flexible mix of day and night shifts. As an academic center, there is overnight supervision and teaching of medicine residents. Comfort with managing intensive care patients, including basic ventilator management and placement of arterial and central lines are preferred but not required. The successful applicant will be appointed to the full-time (1.0 FTE) faculty at the University of Washington at the Clinical Instructor or Clinical Assistant Professor level commensurate with qualifications. Clinical faculty hold annual appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30) and may be reappointed to subsequent annual terms. Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. Anticipated start date is July 1, 2024. The base salary range for this position will be $13,834-$33,333 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. Other compensation associated with this position will include a temporary salary supplement (TPS) of $6,166 monthly and moonlighting opportunities.
