Responsibilities
• Develop and execute commodity strategy• Analyze and develop supplier base• Track input cost drivers and market factors• Negotiate and manage contracts/agreements• Provide escalation support to procurement team• Lead RFX process• Manage Key Supplier Leadership• Ensure alignment with product management, engineering, and operations teams• Seek opportunities for cost containment and improvement• Negotiate complex agreements with global suppliers• Develop category sourcing plans• Conduct vendor performance reviews
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in business, economics, supply chain or engineering• Minimum ten years of experience in custom or engineered-system manufacturing• Demonstrated experience in leadership and leading cross functional teams• Strong business acumen and analytical capabilities• Experience in fabrication, electronics, or hydro/mechanical commodities• Experience with strategic sourcing processes and supplier performance management• Strong negotiation, influencing, project management, and communication skills• Government contract experience• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and analytical software• Knowledge of quality management systems and SAP• Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt preferred• APICS CPIM or other supply chain management certifications preferred• 10-15% travel required• Technical knowledge and industry specifications preferred
