Mike Anderson Chevrolet of Merrillville is hiring an enthusiastic and high energy individual for our Customer Service Representative/Cashier position. This is a full-time role, working Monday- Friday 10:30-7:30pm and Saturdays 9am-6pm. Off Wednesday and Sunday.RESPONSIBILITIES:Meet and greet customers in a professional mannerOperate switchboard telephone systemCommunicate with callers in a professional, friendly and efficient manner, striving to minimize the amount of time customers spend on holdProvide basic information to callers who have general inquiresAssist with various clerical duties as neededBe friendly, professional, courteous and efficient when working with all customers and employeesCalculate the customer's bill using the dealership's computer systemReceive cash, checks, and credit card payments from customers and record the amount received on the repair order and/or counter ticketMake change accurately and issue receipts to customers. Have every repair order signed by the customer at time of payment.Ascertain and record totals of counter tickets and repair orders and verify against all cash, checks and credit card payments on hand at end of shiftWork with department managers to keep abreast of new products and services offered by the dealership and any changes in priceRefer customers who have additional questions to managementHandle customer complaints with integrity and poise and take or refer the complaining customer to the appropriate individual for further communicationProcess refunds to customers for approved returnsREQUIREMENTS:Excellent communication skills and high attention to detailAbility to multi-task and handle several phone calls at onceMust have at least a high school diploma/GEDMust be proficient in Microsoft Word and ExcelMust be able to work Monday-FridayProfessional personal appearanceMust be willing to submit to a background check & drug screenBENEFITS:401k retirement savings planMedical, Dental, Vision, Life insurance options.Short-term and long-term disability coverage optionsPaid Time Off (PTO) Benefits of working as a Cashier/Customer Service in Merrillville, IN:
