Full job description Position: Bookkeeper Job Summary: Northland Properties is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. As a Bookkeeper, you will maintain accurate financial records, ensure compliance with accounting principles, and support the company's financial operations. This person will contribute to our organization's overall success and growth, and the candidate will spend approximately 25-30 hours a week in the office.
Responsibilities: Maintain financial records, including but not limited to general ledgers, accounts payable and receivable, expense reports, and payroll records. Prepare and process invoices, receipts, and payments accurately and in a timely manner. Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies. Monitor and track expenses, ensuring they are properly recorded and coded to the appropriate accounts. Assist in the preparation of financial statements, such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Generate financial reports and provide regular updates on the company's financial status. Qualifications: Proven work experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role, preferably within the real estate industry. Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. Proficient in using accounting software and tools, experience with Rent Manager is a plus Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with integrity. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
