Associate Staff Accountant

Job summary
Associate Staff Accountant responsible for customer service, financial statements, and analysis.Reconciling tax returns, bank statements, and store purchases and expenses.Gathering, auditing, and analyzing financial documents for the general ledger.

Responsibilities
• Prepare financial statements for retail locations.• Reconcile balance sheet accounts to external reports.• Gather, audit, and analyze financial documents for the general ledger.• Prepare and file monthly sales tax returns.• Compile weekly sales and payroll data reporting for franchisees.• Provide customer service and research financial questions or issues.• Reconcile monthly bank statements.• Review franchisee store purchases and expenses for proper authorization and coding.• Process, file, and pay payroll taxes and withholding.• Record fixed assets according to franchisee policies.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related area.• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.• Understanding of accounting principles and concepts.• Excellent communication skills.• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a team environment.
