Accounts Payable Founded in 1907, Cherokee Country Club has a long tradition of dedication to enriching the lives of its members and their families by providing the finest in dining, social, and recreational interests in a private club environment. Cherokee Country Club has an opening in accounts payable. This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer. Cherokee operates as a team and in this role, you will work closely with all levels of management and be a liaison for the Business/Accounting office for employees as well as members and vendors. Accounts Payable is responsible for month end close and accuracy of the general ledger. Job responsibilities include the following:
Accounts Payable: Process invoices via Beanworks. Ensure appropriate approval and expense coding by department heads. Process vendor payments. Maintain vendor files. Annual 1099s. Respond to credit application requests. Code and enter Purchasing Card transactions in the General Ledger. Import invoices from Beanworks into the Club's ERP system. Support the Club's Foundation including paying invoices for the Foundation. The Foundation uses QuickBooks Online. Tax Returns: Liquor by the Drink. Sales & Use Tax. Annual Corporation Report. Annual Business Tax Return. Annual Franchise & Excise Return. Budget & Spending Analysis: Assist with preparation of annual operating and capital budgets. Assist CFO with tracking of spend and variance analyses. Ad hoc reports and research as requested. Other: Expense report management. Petty cash management. Balance sheet reconciliations. Assist with annual audit. Maintain office supplies inventory. Assist with annual federal tax return. Uniform Allowance tracking Qualifications: High School diploma or GED. Three (3) years of experience in a related field. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel. Experience with QuickBooks Online a plus. Experience with Beanworks a plus. Experience with Edenred Payments Automation a plus. Must be an excellent communicator and team player. Must be highly organized with strong attention to detail. Detail oriented, self-directed, and able to efficiently complete tasks independently Compensation: $20 - $25/hr based on experience. Benefits: 401(k) with matching up to 4%.
