Fanatics is also dedicated to making a positive impact in the communities where we all live, work, and play through strategic philanthropic initiatives.This position will provide technical accounting, financial reporting, operational accounting and business finance support for Fanatics Collectibles and interacts with various departments across the company and its locations.Responsibilities:Accountability for the financial control of the Topps International entities reporting into Topps Europe, including Germany, Italy, Latin America, India, Japan and Singapore.Ensuring accurate books and records for the entities being consolidated into Topps International.Managing the internal and external teams to achieve the reporting requirements of Fanatics Collectibles for these entities.Responsibility for the ongoing business including accounting policy, controls, financial closing and technical accounting support for these entities.Management of the internal and external teams preparing any Statutory Accounts and Tax packages for the International entities and any external audits of these financial statements by the GroupTo work alongside the finance team to provide business support to Topps International to continue to drive growth and expansionTo work alongside the Senior Accountant Treasury who will manage A/P, A/R and Banking matters for the European entitiesReview and knowledge of the Indirect and Direct Taxes of these entitiesManage and report Balance Sheet reconciliationsLead cross-functional accounting and finance projects including systems implementations, policy development and operationalization of technical accounting and reporting matters for these entities.Prepare ad hoc financial reporting requests, other financial analyses and special projects requested by management for these entities.Assist in preparing and developing the Collectibles business to scale-up and be SOX compliant based upon process improvements, sourcing and implementing the proper technology, and placing proper talent within key rolesAssist with driving compliance with GAAP and implementation of new standardsMaintain effective relationships with organizational leaders across holding company and shared-service controllership, tax, treasury, legal, FP&A functions, and a broad group of cross-functional business teams acting as the conduit to teams on emerging business issues impacting financial reporting prioritiesGuide other departments by researching and interpreting accounting policy; applying observations and recommendations to operational issuesCoordinate and assist with requests from Fanatics Collectibles external auditorsAssist with managing and developing an efficient, clean and successful auditRequired Skills, Experience and Competencies:Bachelor (or higher) degree in accounting or financeMinimum of 8-10 years of technical accounting and/or financial reporting experience, auditing practice alongside private experience preferred.Qualified Accountant ACA, ACCA, CIMA with minimum of 8 years experience.Experience in acquisitions and related integration activitiesExperience in ERP implementation projects and other efforts to increase automation in accounting closing procedures, D365 and Oracle experience of interestExperience in building cross-functional relationships and partnering with senior leadersStrong understanding and implementation of an internal control environmentKnowledge of US GAAP and ability to work between International GAAPs and US GAAPAbility to think proactively and work in a highly collaborative and fast-paced environmentDesire to develop and continuously improve processesExperience handling annual audits and working with internal and external audit functionsExcellent proficiency in the use of spreadsheet programs and other software applications for financial analysis, experience with ERPs (Oracle, D365) is preferredMust have strong analytical skills and strong attention to detailAbility to organize and prioritize tasksMust have excellent verbal and written communication skillsGerman or Italian language an advantageMust be proficient in Microsoft ExcelEnsure your Fanatics job offer is legitimate and don't fall victim to fraud.
