Primary responsibility of the Account Manager is to drive top line growth (volume) by managing the existing account base while prospecting for new opportunities. Key to being successful as a Seller is to 'create value' and to continually bring on new business so all sales goals are met or exceeded. Salespeople act as the critical link between Polynt's resources and the customer's needs (requirements).
Duties and Responsibilities:
From a seller perspective, manage all aspects of assigned sales territory so margin growth is maximized. This includes both direct and distribution accounts.
Create value as a seller by interfacing with assigned accounts, in order to fully maximize sales.
Build and maintain rapport with key decision-makers at strategically important accounts
Develop and implement sales related actions (account planning, account forecasting, account strategy/tactic formation, etc.).
Develop and implement 'Action Plans' to maximize volume / profitability in your assigned sales territory (examples: price increase, new business development campaign, volume push, etc.)
In conjunction with the other Account Managers, develop key large accounts within your assigned sales territory.
Complete all tasks related to the sales function in a timely manner (forecast reports, sales call reports, monthly reports, expenses reports, etc.)
Knowledge and Skills:
Specialized knowledge and skills needed to perform the job.
Fundamental understanding of the Coatings Industry and related processes. In-depth knowledge of the selling process, Polynt business process, policies, technology, and plant capabilities. Sales management tools including - Sales planning and forecast modeling. Strong presentation skills, oral and written communication skills. Must have demonstrated reasonable capability in using Excel and working with pivot tables to analyze sales data daily. Experience in using Microsoft Teams, and Salesforce is preferred. Analytical, problem solving, critical thinking, listening skills, discretionary behavior. Fluent in English.
Education:
Education, licenses, certifications, or degrees needed to perform the job.
Business, Chemistry or Engineering degree is preferred. Minimum 8+ years Sales, Technical and/or management experience, etc.
