WAGE: Starting at $52,488 per year DOE (Coordinator 1)
FTE; FT/PT; STATUS: 1.0 FTE ; Full Time with Benefits; Temporary
(Position is limited duration through September 30, 2024) PROGRAM(S): All Youth and Academic Programs in Ontario, OR

REQUIREMENTS: Demonstrated experience leading youth programs
Valid Driver's License, auto insurance and full use of vehicle during work hours required.
Must be able to pass rigorous background checks.
GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY: IRCO's Ontario Youth Programs Coordinator will be responsible for general coordination of IRCO's youth programming according to the plans established by supervisor. This will include planning and implementing culturally specific youth case management and mentoring services, and planning and implementing summer recreation, wellness and skills building activities for youth between the ages of 10 and 23 years, from refugee and immigrant backgrounds.
The Lead will not supervise any staff but will ensure all participant forms are collected prior to youth participation, that attendance tracking and data in IRCO and funder databases are maintained and ensure all staff and youth complete funder required training and submit required reports to Program Coordinator in a timely manner. The Youth Programs Coordinator will not have any budgetary approval or spending authority.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Coordinate in person youth programming according to pre-approved implementation plans. Responsible for activity/event planning, organizing internal and/or external activities, and basic project management activities. May be required to draft project plans for supervisor's approval. Manage in-person program intake forms. Work with program staff to collect weekly attendance for all activities conducted and enter data into IRCO and funder databases/tracking documents. Ensure programming is in alignment with all pre-approved plans. Work with Program Coordinator to troubleshoot programmatic challenges as needed. Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and committees as needed. SECONDARY FUNCTIONS: Be able and willing to drive employer provided van and transport youth and staff if the driver is unable to accommodate needed schedule. May be asked to participate in design or planning of new program proposals. Requirements: JOB SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS: Strong planning and organizational skills Strong knowledge and experience working with youth ages 10-23. Ability and desire to work with immigrant and refugee youth. Ability to work collaboratively and positively with diverse teams across multiple. programs and sites. Ability to see larger vision, but also focus on programmatic details. Strong knowledge of best practices in youth programming. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness and ability to drive 12 passenger van. KNOWLEDGE: Education: Bachelor's Degree (4)
Experience: 3-4 years of experience is required (4)
Licensure, Certification: First Aid/CPR or willing to obtain. Additional Language Required: bilingual preferred. Computers: All positions at IRCO require use of a computer and experience working with Microsoft Products including but not limited to Microsoft 365, Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. In addition, this position specifically requires: Knowledge of social media platforms and how to use them to reach youth and the ability to learn and use various databases.

Planning: Positions at this level must be able to foresee issues associated with own work and identify future needs for supplies, equipment, resources which would stall operations or activities. (2)
Supervision: Positions at this (Lead) level are responsible for daily work provided to staff/volunteers in similar job functions at comparable or subordinate levels. Positions are not responsible for hiring, firing, disciplinary actions, etc. (2)
WORKING CONDITIONS: Environment: There is a moderately low level of personal risk encountered. Job conditions are occasionally uncomfortable relative to noise, temperature, inside/outside work, or interactions with people experiencing crisis (3)
Schedule: The work schedule occasionally fluctuates based on organization or customer needs. This fluctuation may occur with or without prior notice. (3)
