About the Position:

The City of Grand Junction is seeking a collaborative, solution-driven team member who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can easily pivot on competing priorities and deadlines. As a Worker's Compensation and Property Liability Claims Specialist, you will coordinate the City's workers' compensation and property liability claims. In addition, you'll coordinate the random drug screen program and assist with a variety of human resources projects. What You'll Do:

Coordinate, process, and administer workers' compensation and property liability claims activities.
Provide coordination among departments and applicable agencies.
Participate in the review and evaluation of claims reporting and procedures.
Respond to requests for information, employee inquiries, or concerns and complaints from the public or outside agencies regarding workers' compensation and property liability policies and procedures.
Conduct informational meetings and provide advice to management and employees.

What We're Looking For:

Two (2) years of increasingly responsible experience in human resources or risk management.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in human resources, business administration, public administration, or a related field.
Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Colorado driver's license.
Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.
