These Student Worker positions will perform Contract Administration duties including construction field inspection, materials testing, preparation of project documentation, and related work as required. Positions will start mid-May, working with school schedules, and run approximately 3-months. May have possible opportunity to continue employment through construction season. Minimum Qualifications Must be 18 years old or older Full-time student with a GPA of at least 2.0 Enrolled in or going to be enrolled in Architectural, Civil Tech, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Surveying program or related program Ability to understand technical documents and follow instructions. Knowledge and application of advanced mathematics including algebra, geometry, and trigonometry. Knowledge of computer software used in testing and design work and ability to use windows based operating systems. Working knowledge of English sufficient to read, write, speak, and understand oral and written information; communicate with employees and the public in person or via two-way radio and other electronic devices; and to maintain routine written logs and simple records. Valid Class D Driver's License. Physical Requirements The physical demands of this job will vary, but typically requires occasional lifting objects such as 75-pound bags of sample materials; and frequent lifting and/or carrying objects such as heavy tools and file boxes. This job also may require walking or standing to a significant degree on rough terrain, may require accessing areas which require additional personal protective equipment [i.e., fall protection, life jacket, respirator, etc.], may involve inspecting work in awkward and/or difficult to access locations, or may involve sitting most of the time with pushing and pulling of arm and/or leg controls.
