Responsibilities
• Provide direct care for ambulatory dermatology patients• Attend to patient requirements and ensure compliance with regulatory and hospital guidelines• Educate student nurse on nursing care in ambulatory care setting• Document care given, observations, and responses• Assist with procedures done under local anesthesia• Conduct patient teaching, wound care management, point of care testing, and dressings• Take vital signs and record in EPIC• Maintain stock levels of supplies• Collect data for assessment/reassessment and performance improvement activities
Requirements
• Enrolled in or on vacation from a Graduate Program with minimum 4.5 credit hours• Completion of at least 1 clinical semester of an RN program• Basic skin care, vital sign collection, and documentation skills• Typing speed of at least 45 wpm• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) training
