Job Summary The Work Study Student will support the College of Engineering and Computing Advisement Center as a Desk Assistant on the Statesboro Campus beginning Summer 2024.



Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period. Please confirm your Federal Work-Study eligibility with the Office of Financial Aid or Request Federal Work Study Eligibility Here Responsibilities Answer the phone and direct calls to appropriate advisor or Georgia Southern department Clear Voicemail from the phone/ take messages Assist students and visitors as they enter the Center Confirm students major and refer them to appropriate advisor Check Students in for appointments via EAB kiosk Inform advisors if student is waiting in lobby or is a drop-in Answer general questions regarding registration, MyGS, campus navigation, changing majors, etc. Occasional special projects like filing, organizing or data entry Shift Specifics Up to 18 hours per week Flexible with schedule of availability Shifts available Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM Preferably available to work mid-day, including 12pm-1pm. Required Qualifications Educational Requirements Must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University. Other Required Qualifications Must be Federal Work eligible. Preferred Qualifications Preferred Experience Previous experience with: Customer Service Data Entry Gmail MyGeorgiaSouthern Excel Proposed Salary $10.00 per hour
This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.
