Our Campus Wellness Coordinator will focus on the health and well-being of Team Members through activities that improve morale, productivity and making UWM a great place to work. Generally, you can expect to work 40 hours per week, occasional evening/weekend hours might be required. Most time will be spent within our Fitness Center or surrounding outdoor campus areas. There may be some local travel involved if we participate in events with the community or local businesses.
Plan, organize, deliver, and evaluate fitness activities and sports leagues Oversee and be on site for sporting events Conducting games and having the ability to mediate during different situations during league play Maintain wellness and fitness-related schedules, records, and reports Oversee fitness and recreation areas, ensuring safe, clean facilities and equipment Laundry, maintaining lost and found items, organizing gym equipment, maintaining clean locker rooms Demonstrate proper operation of fitness equipment, such as resistance machines, cardio machines, free weights, etc. Work in partnership with Benefit and Marketing Teams to develop campaigns to promote a healthy lifestyle or participation in fitness and wellness programs Select and work with contractors, such as athletic officials, fitness and wellness practitioners Outgoing personality, love of people and a strong health & wellness advocate! Ability to present in front of large groups of people New Hire Presentation League Meetings Recording Videos Recognizing the need to remain flexible and display a strong sense of urgency MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS: Multitasking and organizational skills are a must Ability to organize and rearrange sports schedules as needed Knowledge of general benefit policies/procedures or the ability & willingness to learn Experience in Word, Excel, or other applicable database programs Effective communication skills, oral & written Strong organizational skills Be an innovative thinker with a "yes" mentality Exhibit strong communication skills with a high level of service to all team members face to face, over the phone, and in written communication Problem solving skills with a strong sense of solution-oriented results Nice to Have Qualifications:
Sports Administration or Exercise Science Degree Experience in sports, fitness, or related field #LI-AK1
