JOB DESCRIPTION PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols. Determine the most appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements. Set up components for welding according to specifications. Set up equipment and apply appropriate welding techniques to produce quality welds. Assemble parts by bolting and riveting. Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts. Inspect and test welds to determine whether the weld is of suitable quality for its intended application. Ensure all work performed is in a quality minded, tidy & accurate manner. Utilize safe work habits. Wear appropriate PPE. Comply with all NOV Company policies, guidelines, and procedures. Comply with all HSE policies, guidelines, and procedures. Comply with all Quality policies, guidelines, and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred. Ability to pass a drug screen & background check. Must be able to pass a Weld Test. Must be able to pass pulmonary Function and Respiratory Function Tests. Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, or related welding experience and/or training; or equivalent education and experience. Proficiency in TIG and MIG welding. Basic reading, writing and math skills (required). Manufacturing or experience (preferred). Must be able to use and read welding measuring devices to include but not limited to squares, levels, and tape measures. Knowledge of the tools, equipment, and application techniques common to this trade. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to read drawings, instructions or repair and assembly operations. Factory environment with large range in temperature changes. Standing, Walking, Bending/Stooping, Push/Pull, and Repetitive Movement up to 12 hours daily. Lifting weights up to 50 lbs. Regularly.
