Full job description Title: Wedding and Event Coordinator at Southpointe Golf Club
Position Summary: Southpointe Golf Club is looking for a highly organized and detail oriented individual to join our team as a Wedding and Event Coordinator. The successful candidate will work closely with our Banquet Team to assist with the planning and execution of our clients' weddings. The Wedding and Event Coordinator will assist with managing vendors, setup and breakdown of decor and executing logistics of the wedding day events.
Highlighted Responsibilities: Provide exceptional customer service to clients and their guests. Assist with the coordination of vendors, including florists, caterers, photographers, and DJs. Assist with the setup and breakdown of wedding events, including ceremony and reception spaces. Execute wedding day logistics and checklists. Attend wedding meetings with clients as needed. Coordinate and oversee event set-up, including the placement of decor, seating arrangements, and other details to ensure the event space is set up to the client's specifications. Ensure that all event activities run smoothly and on schedule, addressing any issues that may arise during the event. Assist with the coordination of wedding rehearsals as needed. Inventory and ordering of linens for entire Clubhouse. Assist with new hire training. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent attention to detail and communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Previous experience in customer service or hospitality preferred. Ability to lift and carry heavy objects. Ability to work weekends and evenings. Knowledge of event software, such as Caterese is a plus. Driver's License required. Experience/Background/Knowledge Previous experience in the food and beverage industry is preferred. Professional appearance is mandatory. Physical Requirements : The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
