The salary for this position starts at $65,000. We take into consideration an individual's background and experience in determining salary; therefore, base pay offered may vary considerably depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a wide range of other benefits and earned time off that vary depending on part-time or full-time status.Job Summary:The Website Operations Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day operations and maintenance of our website. You will work closely with developers and other stakeholders to ensure the website functions seamlessly and delivers a positive user experience. Responsibilities include collaborating with product, design, digital marketing, IT, and development teams as well as business stakeholders to optimize our legacy and innovation development initiatives. The specialist will partner with the Digital Program Director to outline project plans and needs around the web portfolio, and serve as point of contact between internal and external stakeholders.Essential Functions:About the RoleAs a website operations specialist, you will play a vital role in maintaining and optimizing the performance of our website. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:Responsibilities:Monitoring website performance: Regularly monitor website uptime, speed, and functionality using various tools and identify any potential issues.Troubleshooting website issues: Diagnose and resolve technical problems that may arise, including broken links, error messages, and performance bottlenecks.Content management: Partner with Digital Marketing & Creative Services to prioritize website content flow and delivery.Security updates: Monitor website security measures to protect against cyber threats and vulnerabilities and partner with IT Security Director & development leads to execute required updates.Project & Product Alignment: Maintain holistic view of integration and enhancement requests across business partners and development agencies to ensure alignment to strategic plan.Performance optimization: Continuously identify and implement improvements to enhance website performance and user experience.Data analysis: Analyze website traffic data to gain insights into user behavior and identify areas for improvement.Stay up-to-date: Stay informed about the latest website technologies and industry best practices.Communication and collaboration: Collaborate effectively with developers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation of the website. Serve as the primary liaison between development agencies and the broader organization.Maintain documentation: Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation of website processes and procedures, including testing and quality assurance pre-and post-launch.Relationship Management:Provides recommendation for roadblock removal to leadership for identified issues.Identify improvement to existing, and recommend new, digital products with ideas and strategies shared with the broader organization and digital team.Frequent participation in technical discovery calls and status meetings with external and internal partners.Proactive alignment with IT to ensure technical needs are met from an infrastructure perspective when needed for Digital project delivery.Facilitate launch retrospectives to ensure an environment of continuous improvement of project delivery.Ensure a positive culture and cross-team dynamic among internal and external stakeholders.Collaborate with cross-functional teams and partners to manage and execute initiatives to increase mission delivery, customer engagement, build the brand, and drive digital sales and retention.Manage process stewardship to ensure adherence to established protocols.Foster a collaborative team environment between digital staff, traditional marketing teams, IT teams, and other business lines as required.Relationships:The Website Operations Specialist reports to the Digital Program Director who reports to the Senior Vice President of Strategic Integration, Real Estate & Development. The Website Operations Specialist provides work direction to agency partners and associated staff relevant to the execution of the YMCA of the North digital roadmap. Key audiences include leadership, staff, volunteers, board members, members, donors, program and camp participants, strategic partners, foundations, Y associations, and corporations.Qualifications:RequiredAssociate's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (preferred, but experience may be considered).Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical or web-related role.Strong understanding of website content management systems (CMS) like WordPress, Drupal, or similar.Proficient in basic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (or willingness to learn).Ability to think conceptually and strong analytical skills.Strong familiarity with website troubleshooting methodologies.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities, while achieving organizational objectives.Expertise in digital planning and prioritization.Aptitude to own and manage projects, demonstrate creativity and put ideas into action.Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.A minimum of three (3) years of vendor and agency leadership experience with building, facilitating, and retaining a highly competent team of execution partners.Ability to build and sustain cross-functional strategic relationships, both internally and externally.Demonstrated ability in significant budget management with oversight of large scale project funds.A collaborative leadership style and the ability to motivate inspire and influence others to achieve results.Preferred QualificationsWhile these qualifications are preferred, we will work with you to learn or gain the equivalent experience in these areas.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or equivalent experienceExperience working with APIs, apps, website systems, or equivalent systemsDrupalGitHubDigital OceanAWS, including CloudfrontGrafanaGoogle SuiteMicrosoft SuiteAtlassian suiteRFP managementBudget management for budgets of seven (7) figuresWork Conditions:Must be able to work on a computer for extended periods.Must be able to travel locally for meetings.Ability to travel to YMCA branches, camps or other locations.Ability to respond to emergency situations after normal business hours.Ability to flex work schedule for deployment windows outside of normal business hours.Additional Notes:This job description represents the major functions of the position but is not intended to be all-inclusive.
