Position Purpose:
Provide comprehensive management of the facilities water supply, treatment, usage, and disposal. Maintain accurate and detailed records throughout the process for each regulatory agency governing each stage of the process. Ensure that all equipment and instrumentation used in the treatment, usage, and disposal process meet regulatory and site specifications. 
Primary Duties/responsibilities:  Provide comprehensive management of the facilities water supply, treatment, usage, and disposal Maintain accurate and detailed records throughout the process for each regulatory agency governing each stage of the process Ensure that all equipment and instrumentation used in the treatment, usage, and disposal process meet regulatory and site specifications Ability to work independently, efficiently and make necessary decisions in regards to treatment requirements and quality standards Maintain detailed electronic log, documented rounds, electronic spreadsheets, and produce daily reports each shift Make routine rounds throughout shift in all treatment areas Performs daily RCRA and Safety Inspections as required Monitor all indicators, trends, and alarms on the Programmable Logic Controller(PLC) and local system setups throughout shift and make adjustments accordingly. Respond to notifications in a timely and efficient manner Report any exceedances or permit violations to supervision, management, and EH&S immediately and document the occurrence on the designated forms and logs Order daily consumable products from vendors for items such as: Acid, chlorine, chemical additives, potable water loads, and lab testing equipment and chemicals Maintain and enforce compliance on a high level of housekeeping and environmental standards throughout all treatment areas Respond to upset and abnormal conditions in a safe and timely manner while following all established protocols and Standard Division Practices(SDP) Troubleshoot, maintain, repair, test, and monitor all equipment within the water treatment areas Troubleshoot, maintain, repair, test, and monitor the facility's supply of fire suppression water and its system components Report any spills or emergency situations to supervision and site Emergency Coordinators immediately and assist with remediation efforts and situational response Report malfunctions and inoperable equipment to the maintenance department for repairs using the site Work Request System Perform basic maintenance to area equipment such as filter swapping, tote changing, gasket & gauge replacements, tubing replacement, and parts greasing Safely shut down and start up the treatment units and areas during scheduled outages as well as upset conditions Perform Lock Out Tag Out(LOTO) on all systems and streams within the treatment areas Work with contractors and maintenance department on preventative maintenance and repairs Issue work permits for all treatment areas. These permits may include: Safe Work, HotWork, Line Break, and Confined Space Entry Permits Participate in continuous ongoing retraining, refresher, and state certification programs Train, or assist in the training, development, and sign-off of treatment area operators Provide operational expertise on unit and assist with audits and providing information for external entities and regulatory agencies Provide technical guidance and work with site Engineers to design, test, and implement unit upgrades and improvements Offload and unload tanker trucks as needed for storage or injection Performs basic lab procedures and is proficient in the usage of basic lab equipment for testing and verification purposes. Some of the equipment and tests include: pH, turbidity, conductivity, specific gravity, ISBSP, & hardness titraters, mixers, probes, meters, and analyzers Performs daily calibration of equipment. Assist with maintaining access to the Port Arthur facility and its subsidiary properties North and South of the facility. Maintain and operate a number of unique pieces of equipment and systems such as: Ultrafiltration(UF) System, Reverse Osmosis(RO) System, Boilers, Marley Cooling Tower, Clarifiers, Sand Filters, Metering Pumps, Blowers, Tractor & Diesel Pumps Cartridge Filters, Transfer Pumps, Air Compressors, High Pressure Injection Pumps, Sump Pumps, & Annulus Pumps Maintain deep well injection pressures, rates, and pH staying within permit parameters  Maintain deep well annulus pressure to prevent waste water leaking into the environment Maintain site Waste Water Treatment Plant to prevent failure of system and prevent permit violations for outfall requirements Extract representative waste samples from scrubber blow-down, injection tank, and batch tanks, completes appropriate labeling, and maintains record keeping on sampling according to established standards Operate a variety of rolling stock such as: Forklifts, Manlifts, Scissor Lifts, Roll-Off Truck, Front-end Loader, Backhoe, 80BBL tanker, 130BBL tanker, Yard Mule, and Tractor Qualifications
Education / Experience / Background:  High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) equivalent required Specific knowledge and experience may be considered to select candidates. Prior Water treatment experience preferred Surface/Distribution Water License is a plus Minimum two years process operations experience preferred Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:  Must possess basic operational knowledge of Google & Microsoft based applications Google Sheets, Docs, Gmail, Access, Word & Excel  Must be able to learn and operate site computer programs without assistance Must consistently demonstrate the ability to operate assigned machines and equipment meeting or exceeding processing and quality targets under general supervision. Must demonstrate ability to efficiently operate equipment such as pumps, engines, centrifuge, generators, valves, gates, mixers, conveyors, blowers, dryers, chemical feed, odor control, disinfection equipment, sludge processing filters, belt presses, and measuring/control devices, testing equipment and material handling equipment. Must have the ability to diagnose process and mechanical problems in single or multiple unit processes, troubleshoot basic equipment and take corrective action within policy and procedure limitations. Must demonstrate a working ability to use computer programs for process control Required Certification / Licenses / Training:  Must be able to obtain respirator certifications and maintain fit test compliance Must maintain current status on all annual site and corporate training requirements Must be able to get signed off on the usage of site rolling stock such as: Forklifts, Roll-off Trucks, Backhoe, Front-end Loader, Manlift, 80BBL tanker, 130BBL tanker, etc. Possess or obtain at minimum a Class-C Surface and/or Distribution Water License Class-B or Class-A licenses accepted and preferred Additional Information
