At LCRA, we are seeking a senior level Water Supply Planner! In this role you would lead water planning and development activities that contribute to the mission of conserving and improving water supplies in the Colorado River basin. You are someone that has expertise in water planning, works well with our customers, and can effectively develop water strategies and innovative solutions.As the water supply planning lead, you will work independently and with LCRA staff to administer the LCRA Water Management Plan, guide the completion of the basin-wide Water Supply Resources Plan, develop business strategies for future water supply projects, support the expansion of the water conservation program, and evaluate and implement water supply options.We offer a balanced work/life approach that focuses on team interaction in a flexible environment including a hybrid work schedule. If you are looking to take the next career step in an outstanding organization while enhancing the lives of Texans, we would like to talk with you.You will be trusted to:- Manage highly complex planning and water supply development projects.- Serve in a leadership role in the Region K water planning process.- Lead technical, regulatory, and public communications on complex studies.- Prepare integrated watershed plans that optimize water supply and water quality solutions.- Research new water supply technologies and their potential application.- Develop analytical tools and model potential strategies with LCRA staff.You qualify with:- Twelve or more years of experience in managing complex water supply planning and/or water supply development projects, or other relevant experience, including experience working with Texas water law and associated regulatory matters.
