LCRA's Water Quality Protection team is looking for a multifaceted manager with strong technical capabilities to lead the Water Quality Engineering & Planning program. The program implements water quality protection ordinances through comprehensive plan reviews and inspections for new developments and dredging projects in the Highland Lakes region. This position plays a meaningful role in protecting the water supply for more than a million people. Our mission is to improve the lives of Central Texas and our teams are dedicated to service with safety as a top priority!You will be trusted to:- Lead and direct a team of specialists dedicated to protecting water quality- Provide expert-level mentorship on technical requirements of LCRA's watershed and dredging ordinances to staff and customers- Implement a technical review process that ensures projects achieve compliance with LCRA rules and are permitted in a timely manner- Implement a robust stormwater and water quality Best Management Practice inspection program- Coordinate LCRA's dredging program in the Highland Lakes- Ensure WQEP staff investigate and address complaints about stormwater compliance issues- Collaborate and interact with cities, counties, and other governmental jurisdictions on stormwater management and permitting issuesYou qualify with:- Twelve or more years of experience in water quality analysis, monitoring, public outreach, program management, or other relevant experience, including three or more years of supervisory experience.
