Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to oversee and coordinate waste and water treatment construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management within the waste and water treatment sector, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
* Plan, execute, and finalize waste and water treatment construction projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.
* Coordinate the efforts of team members, subcontractors, and consultants to deliver projects according to plan.
* Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
* Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
* Estimate resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
* Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes as necessary.
* Negotiate with other department managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the company.
* Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
* Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
* Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
* Track project milestones and deliverables.
* Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
* Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
* Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
* Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in construction project management, preferably in waste and water treatment.
* Proven experience in managing construction projects from start to finish, including planning, execution, and closeout.
* Strong understanding of waste and water treatment processes, means and methods, and industry standards.
* Exceptional leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency with project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions quickly.
* Knowledge of relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
* PMP or other relevant project management certification is a plus.
* Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
