Job Summary: James Air Cargo, Inc. (JAC) is seeking an energetic detail oriented Full-Time Afternoon Dock Worker to join our amazing team here at James Air Cargo Inc. The position is Monday-Friday 12 PM- 8 PM at our Brook Park, OH location. JAC is a small family-owned company for over 30 years. QUALIFICATIONS: Must consent to a pre-employment drug screen. JAC must receive a negative result. Must have the ability to set and manage ongoing changing priorities and exhibit good time management and multi-tasking skills. Excellent attention to detail. Capability to switch between multiple tasks in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Previous Transportation or operational experience is preferred. Able to lift various types of materials will be required: cartons, bags, cylinders, boxes, crates, drums, pipes, bars, rugs, etc. Able to operate various types of tools such as Tow Motor, pallet jack & dolly. Must have the ability to read and write the English language and also perform simple mathematical calculations. You will be an at-will employee throughout your employment with JAC. JOB DESCRIPTION: The ideal candidate will be familiar with a variety of management duties and will have experience supervising employees. They will also be responsible for ensuring the safety and efficiency of their team, as well as maintaining a clean warehouse environment. Attention to detail is crucial to being successful in this position. Standing, walking, pushing, pulling, twisting, carrying, bending, reaching, and lifting both above and below waist level will be required. Packing, shrink wrapping, and band freight. Heavy lifting will be required up to 50 lbs unassisted. Anything over 50 lbs will have the use of assistance tools. Work safely and professionally to reduce personal risks and risks to fellow employees. Comply with federal, state, and company regulations. Process all paperwork daily associated with the execution of the job. Be available and willing to work; exceptions require management approval. Work in a positive, supportive, and cooperative way at all times. Perform other duties as directed or requested. Skills and Specifications: Attention to detail. Able to lead. Ability to lift 50 lbs unassisted. Stand for at least 8 hours. Operate a forklift or be eligible to certify on a forklift. Work unsupervised at times. Benefits: Competitive pay with experience.
