Position: Warehouse Supervisor
Summary : Gateway Studio and Production Services offers turnkey production service solutions for the live music, touring and event industries. The Warehouse Supervisor assumes primary responsibility for supervising the everyday operation of the warehouse including maintaining organization in warehouse operations, liaising between department heads to ensure a seamless workflow of operations, and managing internal and external warehouse teams. This position reports to the Director of Production Services. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Major Responsibilities 1. Warehouse Management Manage activity in the areas of: Dock, Inbound and Outbound project prep. Assist in managing internal and external warehouse teams to ensure the correct equipment is pulled, staged, and shipped while maintaining company standards. Coordinate and organize timeline required for timely equipment turnaround. Maintain organization and seek new efficiencies in warehouse operations through building systems, processes, and workflows. Develop and utilize team members to their highest potential and create avenues for growth and productivity. Provide team members coaching and mentoring and help resolve department and employee issues. Coordinate pick up details with customers picking up rental gear from warehouse . Forecast and maintain budgetary requirements for warehouse workload and staff. Ensure job departmental equipment pull list and equipment returns or accurate. 2. Inventory & Quality Control Coordinate inventory between departments utilizing gear to its fullest potential. Assist all departments to ensure inventory control and best product placement and storage are aligned with efficiency and cost benefit. Input into asset management system to accurately track, manage, and utilize company owned assets. Develop, refine, and manage Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with the assistance of department heads. Create and maintain quality control procedures for developed GSPS solutions 3. Collaboration & Communication Liaise with department heads to coordinate warehouse activities and communicate shipping and receiving details. Collaborate with department heads to develop / improve packaging. Collaborate with project managers and department heads on product applications and requirements as related to GSPS client specifications. Assist all departments as needed. 4. Safety Ensure workplace safety and efficiency. Follow proper safety protocol at all times. Assist in the recording and management of company safety documents and certifications. 5. Attendance Attendance is an essential requirement for this position. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, when needed. 6. Any Other Duties as Assigned by Supervisor To be determined by supervisor on a permanent or project basis. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certificates BS in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain or equivalent of 5 years' experience working in the field. Experience 5 years of warehouse management experience or similar in live events or touring. Experience managing projects and shows while working with and managing multiple discipline staff and production personnel. Working knowledge of asset management systems. Experience supervising, mentoring, and coaching employees. Skills/Abilities Humble, personable and can learn new skills and technology. Strong communication skills with the ability to relate to a wide group of people. Ability to supervise and lead by establishing goals and providing direction. Energetic, detailed oriented and thorough. Ability to troubleshoot effectively and efficiently. Skilled at managing details, processes and ensuring tasks are completed in a timely manner. Comfortable in a fast-paced environment. Trustworthy - Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Physical Demands
Ability to work at a consistent pace throughout the shift Due to the complexity and weight of the equipment, adequate stamina and physical strength is necessary to perform duties of job Work with power cables and power distribution in common live event environments Work under any prevailing terrain and weather conditions and be appropriately dressed to do so, regardless of cold, heat, humidity, or wet weather conditions Strength
