Warehouse Purchasing Coordinator Location Moberly, MO : Overview The Purchasing Coordinator assists the Purchasing Supervisor in making vendor purchases for the field and entering price updates. Responsibilities include creating/handling purchase orders, special order purchases, invoicing, computer analytics, updating databases, adding/changing item numbers, rotating product, developing and maintaining product knowledge, and entering and updating vendor pricing and product information in appropriate systems. Responsibilities Create Purchase Orders for direct shipment orders for all field locations once orders are submitted from the plant level. Work with the Purchasing Supervisor on vendor research, calculating costs, and entering and updating pricing. Work with the Purchasing Supervisor in vendor meetings with negotiations and collecting new and existing product information. Receive and process requests for creating and making item numbers obsolete in E1 and Energy Force, including determining item numbers to be added/deleted, forwarding for approval when necessary and making the appropriate changes. Enter all current product information in tracking system and verify it is up to date and accurate. Add, delete, and modify inventory information in E1 & Energy Force as needed. Order office supplies for all field locations. Assist with internal inventory transfers and ensure accuracy of paperwork between warehouse and field locations. Assist the field locations with receiving and/or reversing Purchase Orders. Assist the field in maintaining pricing and establishing margins on new products. Monitor major brand changes and competitor pricing and keep accurate records. Monitor sales of discontinued items and rotate location of items. Assist in checking invoices and ensuring all payments are processed. Regularly communicate with field, management, and vendors to ensure proper purchases and accurate inventory records. Follow posted work schedule and adhere to proper clocking procedures to accurately reflect hours worked. All MFA Oil employees are expected to know and adhere to company and position specific policies and procedures. While this contains the primary duties of the position, employees may be expected to perform other duties as assigned. Job Requirements High school diploma or equivalent General office skills, with knowledge of service and billing procedures. Strong oral and written communication and negotiation skills. Computer knowledge and familiarity with Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite products. Knowledge of financials and basic accounting. Excellent analytical, organizational, and creative problem-solving skills. Ability to perform work with a high level of accuracy in a timely manner. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the English language to communicate with customers, coworkers, and supervisors. Ability to meet Company requirements, including successful pre-employment background check and drug test. Legal authorization to work in the United States. Preferred Skills Bachelor's or Associate's degree. 1-3 years of purchasing or inventory tracking experience. Knowledge of JD Edwards's programs. Ability to meet deadlines with a high degree of time management skills. Ability to perform detailed work with accuracy and in a timely manner. Ability to grasp new concepts quickly.
