The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the complete day-to-day
operation of the Warehouse. They are responsible for maximizing lumber sales
and profitability, managing and controlling all elements of the Warehouse inventory,
along with managing expenses while ensuring that the Warehouse is optimally
stocked and merchandised and that all customers are provided with excellent
customer service. A Warehouse Manager contributes to the growth and development of store associates.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ·
Assist Human Resources in hiring, training, and developing associates with goals for
growth and success in their positions.

Manage the cleanliness, inventory, and stocking of the Warehouse.·
Audit and report inventory while making recommendations on which items to order and restock.·
Manage Warehouse associates, monitoring work and ensuring the safe use of warehouse equipment.
·
Establish warehouse practices and protocols to achieve an efficient warehouse.·
Set warehouse and team goals in collaboration with executive management and other team leads·
Monitor workplace performance and lead training initiatives to improve employees·
Keep up to date on the latest federal and state safety regulations·
Communicate with other departments to ensure products are shipped in a timely manner
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES ·
Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of retail experience or experience in the Construction
Industry that gives you proper knowledge of building materials

Skills/Knowledge: Strong leadership and analytical skills
·
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in all situations
·
Strong problem-solving, organizational, verbal, and written communication, and
multitasking skills with high attention to detail
·
Knowledge of retail computer systems, cash registers, MS Word, and Excel
·
Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and
holidays to meet the needs of the business
·
Ability to stand for an extended period of time
·
Move and handle up to 80 lbs
·
Load and unload trucks.
A minimum of 30 hours of continuing education directly related to this position is required annually. Job responsibilities may change based on the needs of the business.
