The warehouse delivery driver is responsible for transporting goods and materials from the warehouse to construction sites or other designated locations. They ensure timely delivery of items while adhering to safety regulations and company policies. This role requires proficiency in driving heavy vehicles, familiarity with construction materials, and the ability to efficiently navigate delivery routes
Delivery Operations: Safely operate company vehicles, including trucks and vans, to transport materials to various locations. Load and unload goods from vehicles, ensuring proper handling and securing of items to prevent damage during transit. Verify delivery instructions and routes to optimize efficiency and timely delivery. Maintain delivery logs, including records of items delivered, mileage, and fuel consumption. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving. Follow safety protocols for loading, unloading, and transporting hazardous materials, if applicable. Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and report any maintenance issues promptly. Inventory Management: Assist in inventory management tasks such as stock counting, organizing warehouse shelves, and tracking incoming and outgoing shipments. Communicate with warehouse staff to coordinate loading and delivery schedules. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by delivering items promptly and courteously. Address any customer concerns or inquiries regarding deliveries. Maintain professional conduct and appearance when interacting with customers and stakeholders. Communication: Maintain open communication with warehouse supervisors, dispatchers, and other team members to coordinate delivery schedules and address any issues that arise during deliveries. Report any incidents, accidents, or delays to the appropriate personnel immediately. Must have a clean driving record. Previous experience as a delivery driver, preferably in a construction or warehouse environment. Familiarity with construction materials and equipment. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow delivery instructions accurately. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Physical strength and stamina for loading and unloading heavy items. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication skills and customer service orientation. Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. Work primarily takes place outdoors and involves driving long distances. May be exposed to various weather conditions, including extreme heat or cold. Required to lift and move heavy objects on a regular basis. Standard working hours are from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. #IND1
