Job SummaryAs a Voice Systems Engineer at Aetos Systems, Inc., you'll play a crucial role in researching, designing, developing, integrating, testing, documenting, and overseeing the installation of electrical communication systems at Kennedy Space Center, including analog and digital Voice Communications systems. This is a represented staff position with the IBEW Union. Duties/ResponsibilitiesFrequent use and application of communication engineering standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques. Establish voice comm system requirements and define system architectures. Produce voice comm installation designs and documentation. Develop system Acceptance Test Procedures, Functional Test Procedures, and Operational Instructions. Work with Drafting team members to create and maintain detailed system drawings. Integrate custom and COTS products into current voice comm systems architecture and design. Perform sustaining engineering such as obsolescence part replacement, software upgrades, server maintenance, failure analysis, and trending. Orchestrate system troubleshooting efforts for escalated trouble calls. Create engineering instructions for work orders affecting system design and configuration changes. Research and order materials/components that meet voice systems specifications. Assess system upgrade/expansion projects and provide labor and material estimates. Provide solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Works under general supervision.
