Summary
RCOC?s Hands of Opportunity Community Guidance Program addresses the unique needs of improving employment and training outcomes in Racine and Kenosha and surrounding counties for adults and youth with disabilities. As the first step in RCOC?s programming, the Community Guidance Program will identify and connect individuals to an education, training and/or employment track. This position supports Participants (Adults & Youth with disabilities) to maximize his/her vocational potential in a competitive integrated work setting.  Duties
? Assists related staff for the purpose of supporting and/or developing consumer?s vocational skills.
? Monitors consumer?s performance in a variety of work sites according to program guidelines (e.g. visits job sites, obtains employer evaluations, serves as a liaison between employer & consumer and employer & RCOC, etc.) for the purpose of identifying areas requiring additional training on techniques and methods for maintaining solid work habits.
? Assist in teaching consumers how to maintain and reinforce healthy boundaries as it pertains to employment readiness.
? Assist with and train soft/ social skills, coping skills, employability and linking to community resources.
? Maintain and execute documentation and workflow that draws on basic software/computer skill set.
? Provide written documentation as necessary, including reports, and other needed documentation to rationalize services.
? Maintain a consistent and reliable attendance record. Ensure flexibility to provide support to
? Ability to represent RCOC and other contracted service funders in the community in a professional manner and uphold RCOC mission. 
? Must possess exceptional problem-solving skills.
 

  Requirements
Ability and willingness to work outside in varying weather conditions (wetness, snow, dust, noise, hot/cold etc.) Willingness to access the community throughout the year, with participants in a variety of ways including the city bus, walking to site, etc. Willingness to work with people with an array of disabilities including physical limitations.
High School diploma of equivalent required. Two years? experience working with adults who are developmentally disabled, or in a related field, or two years of related education, preferred. Ability to independently and spontaneously travel to various locations. Have a valid Wisconsin Driver?s License and good driving record. Drive agency vehicles as required. Pass a Caregiver Background Check Pre employment Drug Screen
