The A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University is seeking applicants for a visiting faculty position (Visiting Lecturer/Visiting Professor of Practice/Visiting Assistant Professor) in Accounting. This visiting position is a non-tenure system faculty position. This person will be responsible for teaching undergraduate or graduate courses across different modalities with a particular focus on experiential learning. Remaining current and relevant in their field through professional and/or scholarly engagement activities, producing intellectual contributions, and assisting in service to the university and the business school are valued. This is a full-time appointment in the business school's Accounting area. The position starts July 1, 2024. Salary, teaching load, and benefits are commensurate with other major research institutions. Hiring for this position is subject to final budgetary approval by the university.
Qualifications:
Candidates are expected to be either professionally qualified (i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D. in Accounting or a related field and a substantial record of recent professional experience) or academically qualified (i.e., Ph.D. in Accounting and actively engaged in scholarly and/or professional engagement activities). We seek collegial candidates with demonstrated excellence in communication skills or success in classroom teaching. A successful candidate needs to have the background, training, or experience to teach Accounting Analytics. Past experience with experiential learning is valued.
