Responsibilities:
As a Virtual Special Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering personalized and inclusive education to students with diverse learning needs. Your responsibilities will include:
Creating and implementing virtual lesson plans tailored to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities, fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment.
Conducting ongoing assessments to identify students' strengths and areas for growth, adjusting instructional strategies as necessary.
Collaborating virtually with parents, general education teachers, and support staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that address students' academic, social, and emotional goals.
Utilizing virtual learning platforms and educational technology tools to enhance instruction and create an interactive and inclusive virtual classroom experience.
Staying updated on best practices in virtual special education instruction and participating in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.
Establishing clear and effective communication channels with students, parents, and the broader school community to foster a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education.
Valid Illinois teaching license with special education endorsement.
Valid PEL (Professional Educator License).
Minimum of two years of teaching experience in special education.
Strong understanding of virtual learning platforms and technology tools.
