Description Job Title: Virtual Learning/TCC Classroom Facilitator Credentials: Current Oklahoma Teaching Certificate with endorsements for the appropriate level/subject area. Education: Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field from College/university recognized by State Board of Education. Masters Degree preferred. Training or experience required: Successful prior teaching experience for the appropriate grade level preferred. Reports to: Building Principal and Director of Advanced Programs Terms of Employment: Contract Length: Returning teachers 182 days plus 1 day a week during the summer; New teachers - 182 days + Induction Week Work Schedule: 30 minutes before and 30 minutes after school and special events outside the regular workday

Teacher Retirement: Paid in full by Norman Public Schools Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with Oklahoma laws and Norman Public School Board of Education policy. Position Purpose: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Facilitator to support the learning environment in our educational institution for students pursuing Dual Enrollment through an online environment. The Facilitator will work closely with teachers and students to ensure a conducive and engaging atmosphere for learning. This role involves providing assistance to both educators and learners, managing classroom dynamics, creating a culture of support and fostering a positive learning experience. Essential Functions and Requirements: Communicating with college staff and families to ensure all students have completed the necessary steps to be admitted into the college, enrolled in courses and maintain a C or higher grade in coursework. Support students in understanding lesson objectives and completing assignments. Monitor student behavior and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Provide one-on-one assistance to students who require additional support or clarification. Encourage student participation and engagement in classroom discussions and activities. Assist students with assignments and provide constructive feedback to students. Communicate effectively with teachers, students, and parents regarding student progress and any concerns. Stay updated on educational best practices and contribute to the development of innovative teaching methods. Assist in annual program recruitment. Work with counseling staff to ensure students meet graduation requirements. Create and maintain student activities to build a culture of support. Previous experience working in a classroom setting or educational environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Patience and empathy when working with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities. Ability to multitask and manage classroom dynamics effectively. Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the classroom. Proficiency in using educational technology and learning management systems. Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and other stakeholders. Passion for education and a genuine desire to support student success.
