Responsibilities
• Operates production equipment to produce subassemblies or finished products.• Interprets instructions and specifications and uses to set up equipment.• Checks products on assembly line to confirm that they are properly assembled and removes defective products.• Cleans and maintains equipment as needed.• Notifies supervisor of maintenance and/or repairs needed on equipment.• Prepares accurate records/documentation related to quality and work in progress.• Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level• Troubleshoots minor production problems.• For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable• Performs other duties assigned as needed
Requirements
• High school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent skills, experience, or training.• Generally, Requires 2-4 Years Work Experience• Computer skills.• Excellent communication and interpersonal relation skills.• Statistical and analytical problem-solving ability.• Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide, percentages.• Strong background in math or science and/or post high school is desirable.• Ability to use measuring devices such as micrometers, scales and balances, calculators, tachometers, computer, and Instron test units.• Knowledge of braiding and pre-processing operations desirable.• Ability to use basic hand tools.• Ability to work independently without continuous supervision• General inspection skills.• Aptitude for electric skills• Ability to maintain accurate records.• Capable of innovative thinking to resolve problems and recommend corrective actions.• High level of attention to detail• Manual dexterity and ability to work with small and intricate parts with precision.
