Role Overview:
We are on the lookout for a seasoned Vice President of Public Relations & Entertainment Industry Engagement to join our dynamic team in Hollywood. This role is at the heart of identifying strategic opportunities, creating meaningful partnerships, and propelling our mission through impactful engagement with both the entertainment industry and the public. As a hybrid position, you'll report directly to the Senior Vice President & Chief Operating Officer, collaborating closely with key organizational leaders to make a tangible difference in the lives of animals and people alike.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategize and execute plans to position our organization as the leader in animal welfare within the entertainment sector.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders, expanding our influence and programmatic reach both domestically and internationally.
Spearhead research and data analysis to identify trends and opportunities, enhancing our program's impact and organizational mission.
Engage and educate the entertainment industry about our hallmark certification program, showcasing its value and importance.
Collaborate with marketing and communications to amplify our mission and achievements across various media platforms.
Represent our organization at industry events, conferences, and roundtables, establishing us as thought leaders in animal welfare.
Proactively respond to public relations challenges, maintaining our organization's integrity and mission focus.
Who You Are:
A professional with 10+ years of experience in the entertainment industry, particularly in public relations and industry relations.
Holder of a Bachelor's degree, with a preference for an advanced degree in public relations or a related field.
Experienced with nonprofit organizations, understanding the unique challenges and opportunities they present.
Skilled in building and nurturing relationships, with a knack for identifying key decision-makers.
Excellent communicator, capable of crafting and delivering messages across various platforms to diverse audiences.
Entrepreneurial and action-oriented, thriving in a fast-paced environment and demonstrating a strong work ethic.
Strategic thinker with the ability to manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring goals are met efficiently and effectively.
Work Environment:
This position offers a blend of in-office and remote work, based in Studio City, CA, with a telework schedule that accommodates both organizational needs and manager discretion.
Openness to working in a pet-friendly environment and representing the organization at events that may include animal interactions.
Availability for travel (up to 25%), including domestic and international trips, and occasional work outside regular office hours.
