ABOUT THE CAMPAIGN AND CREATIVE SERVICES TEAM The Campaign & Creative Services team is a leading Democratic political consulting firm with a record of winning tough races. We are a team of operatives, campaign managers and strategists and have an in-house creative studio that specializes in brand strategy, video production, copywriting and design. We serve as strategic and creative partners to our clients, helping them solve their biggest challenges and win races. Strategy and storytelling are at the heart of our craft. We develop our clients' message and deliver it to the right people with the right creative. We script, produce, edit and place TV, digital and radio ads in multiple states and markets and so much more.
ABOUT THIS ROLE BerlinRosen is seeking a Vice President of Mail to join our growing team for the 2024 election season. This person will oversee the production of direct mail programs for Democratic campaigns in local, state-wide and national targeted races. They will keep projects on their deadlines and optimize systems to ensure we're operating effectively and efficiently, all toward the goal of helping Democratic candidates win office.
Role duration: This is a temporary, full-time temporary position that will run from June 2024 through November 15, 2024. 
Role location: This role is based in our New York, N.Y. or Washington, D.C. office on a hybrid basis or in California (fully remote). The Campaign & Creative Services team is in office 2-3 days per week. This role requires occasional travel for client- and team-related responsibilities.
ACCOUNTABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS As a Vice President of Mail on the Campaign & Creative Services team, you will…
Keep the apprised of status of all print projects and continually monitoring work in progress to ensure work is on time notifying account and design team members who are late on assigned tasksServe as the "client lead" for all projects, working directly on political and campaign strategy with candidates, campaign managers, etc.Engage directly with clients as a lead strategist on political and campaign strategyLead on strategy, concepting and budgeting for your clientsDevelop creative ideas, taglines and conceptsWork with the production team to secure bids from our print vendors for custom projectsQuickly identify any disruptions in production and connect with the accounts team to resolve themManage and organize photo shoots and timelinesEssential skills: 8+ years of political campaign or political consulting experienceExperience working in direct mail production and political consultingAttention to detail and keen eye for noticing quality issues (used throughout the print production process) and strong organization skills for high volume workloadsStrong communication skills, allowing you to present information and follow up with questions when needed and provide clarity on inquiries from clients and managersAbility to work as a self-starter and prioritize urgent tasks along with being able to adjust to continuously changing needs and deadlines for projectsThe ability to effectively problem solve and resolve conflictsComfortable working in a fast-paced environment with quick turnaroundsProficient computer skills with Microsoft Suite, Google Workspace and project management tools, such as AsanaEnthusiasm for work that supports Democratic political candidatesNote: Interested in this role but it's not quite the right match?
