About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President and General Manager, Local Media to lead a multi-platform media station with a strong focus on revenue and audience growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the station, including strategic and operational planning, leading a team in a highly competitive environment, and ensuring the station's compliance with all regulations. This role requires a leader with a proven track record in top station leadership positions, preferably with a background in broadcast sales, news, or marketing, and the ability to grow both broadcast and digital viewership and customer base.Key responsibilities for the Vice President include being the primary leader in generating ratings and revenue, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment, and developing strong relationships with key clients and business partners. The ideal candidate will have at least a four-year degree, 10 years' of media experience, and the ability to become a community leader. They must also have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. The role demands a leader who can effectively communicate with department heads and employees, provide visible leadership both within the station and in the community, and ensure the highest ethical standards are maintained at all times.
