General Summary:
The Vice President of Enterprise Sales is responsible for planning, directing, and implementing all aspects of the Company's strategic and tactical sales initiatives across all product lines to existing and new business customers. This role provides effective leadership to the sales management team towards the achievement of maximum profitability and revenue growth in line with company vision and values.
Essential Job Functions:
Organizes and directs the long-term and short-term strategic sales efforts to achieve established goals;
Develops and oversees the sales function, ensuring the sales team and plans are organized to achieve maximum results in agreement with the strategic direction;
Analyzes the productivity of the overall sales organization and recommends adjustments to staff, quotas, commission plans, and resources to maximize results;
Builds a professional environment within the organization to recruit, develop, motivate, and retain an industry-leading team of highly talented, profit-focused, technically proficient sales professionals;
Serves as an industry expert, providing internal guidance and external leadership;
Establishes and maintains relationships with top-tier business executives and community leaders;
Understands changes to the marketplace and industry and adjust sales strategies accordingly;
Serves as a liaison to other functional areas within the Organization;
Remains current with changing trends within the telecommunications industry;
Participates in various industry and community committees in support of Ritter Communications;
Travels to customer sites, project areas, business related events, and other Ritter Communications locations as required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of telecommunications industry;
Knowledge of telecom operations, technology, and equipment;
Knowledge of business sales principles and practices;
Knowledge of company products and services;
Skill in operating various office equipment such as personal computer, various software programs, and telephone systems;
Knowledge of supervisory and finance principles and practices;
Skill in oral and written communication;
Strong team management skills with the ability to speak to sales, business development, solutions engineering, and all other aspects of the internal support team;
Expert skill in negotiation, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration;
Skill in designing and delivering effective presentations and public speaking;
Ability to communicate with customers, employees, and various business contacts in a professional and courteous manner;
Ability to demonstrate skills in leadership;
Ability to organize and prioritize multiple work assignments;
Ability to pay close attention to detail;
Ability to make sound decisions using information at hand;
Ability to travel for business requirements; must possess a valid Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Sales Leadership, Business, or related field with 10 years of experience in sales management or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in Telecommunication and/or networking in a business environment required.
