Responsibilities
• Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.• Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with your state's Veterinary Practice Act.• Communicate with clients about pet health concerns and offer guidance on treatments.• Maintain medical records and obtain relevant health history from clients.• Use safe restraining techniques and maintain clean treatment areas.• Guide, mentor, and support fellow team members.
Requirements
• 1-2 years of clinical experience• Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program preferred• Advanced animal handling experience in a veterinary setting• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• Must be able to lift 40 pounds
