Young-Williams Spay/Neuter Solutions is currently looking for veterinary assistants and appointment schedulers for our high volume spay/neuter clinic. This is a fast-paced and team-oriented clinic.
The Spay/Neuter clinic is located at Young-Williams Animal Village where we provide low-cost spay/neuter surgeries for residents of Knoxville and surrounding areas. At this location you will help Young-Williams reduce the number of unwanted and homeless pets in our area. This position is part of our medical support team which is fast paced and who provide quality care of our surgery patients.
Depending on the position, responsibilities may include:
Assist Veterinarian and surgical team with triage of patients.
Prepare patients for surgery and work with the medical support team to ensure efficient surgery flow. Monitor patients for all stages of care before, during and after surgery.
Post-surgery cleanup including, but is not limited to scrubbing instruments cleaning surgery suite & clinic, kennels and laundry.
Possess Organizational, Communication and Customer Service skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a busy workplace environment.
Ability to stand for long periods of time (6-8 hours/day).
Ability to communicate both orally and written.
High School diploma or equivalent is required.
Prefer one (1) to two (2) years of veterinary or animal care experience.
