Veterinary Assistant/Veterinary Technician

Key Responsibilities include: Speak with pet parents about their pet; collect appropriate history in exam rooms and collect proper samples based on the appointment type Assisting veterinarians in providing medical care and treatment to our patients Ability and use of proper restraint techniques of both canine and feline patients Conduct lab tests and radiology procedures Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed Monitor and record vitals Provide pre- and post-operative care Educate pet owners on proper pet care and preventatives health measures Maintain clean and organized work spaces; hospital cleaning including but not limited to pet dishes, cages, runs, dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping and laundry Qualifications: Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician - no less than 2 years experience (experience must be within the past 5 years) is preferred Veterinary Technician must provide proof of certification or degree in Veterinary Technology Strong technical skills and knowledge of veterinary procedures  Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Compassionate and caring attitude towards animals Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism Proficiency with Shepherd software is a plus  If you are dedicated to providing exceptional care and want to work in a supportive and dynamic environment, we'd love to hear from you.
