Responsibilities
• Assist veterinarians during appointments and surgeries• Provide compassionate care to animals• Handle and restrain animals for examinations and procedures• Perform laboratory tests and assist with diagnostic procedures• Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of equipment and exam rooms• Educate pet owners on preventive care and medication administration• Manage inventory and assist with ordering supplies• Schedule appointments and check-in patients• Assist with client communication and record-keeping• Collaborate with the veterinary team to ensure high-quality patient care
Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent• Previous experience as a veterinary assistant preferred• Knowledge of animal care and medical terminology• Strong communication and interpersonal skills• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions• Physical stamina to lift and restrain animals• Flexibility to work some weekends and evenings• Passion for animal welfare and commitment to providing excellent patient care• Ability to work well in a team
