In this role, you will play a critical role for the company and will work alongside other professionals within the team and other departments. You will be responsible for overseeing the design and implementation of graphic elements for automotive applications. Working under the guidance of the Vehicle Graphics Supervisor, you will lead a team of designers and install technicians, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure the successful execution of projects from concept to completion. Do the right thing, every time.ResponsibilitiesBelow is an overview of the duties and responsibilities you would take on in this role:Leadership and Mentorship: Lead a team of automotive graphics designers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to foster their professional growth and development.Creative Direction: Define the creative vision, aesthetic direction, and brand guidelines for automotive graphics projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives, market trends, and industry standards.Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of automotive graphics projects, including vehicle wraps, decals, signage, and branding initiatives, while adhering to project timelines and budgets.Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, branding, engineering, and manufacturing, to understand project requirements, coordinate efforts, and ensure seamless integration of graphic designs with vehicle design and production processes.Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce quality standards, design best practices, and technical specifications to maintain the integrity, consistency, and accuracy of graphic designs across different platforms and applications.Client Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates, addressing concerns, and soliciting feedback to ensure client satisfaction and project success.Team Development: Identify training needs, skill gaps, and opportunities for improvement within the team, and implement strategies to enhance team performance, efficiency, and collaboration.Innovation and Research: Stay abreast of emerging design trends, technological advancements, and industry developments in automotive graphics and related fields, and incorporate innovative ideas and techniques into project designs.Risk Management: Anticipate potential challenges, risks, and obstacles in project execution, and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and ensure project success.Documentation and Reporting: Maintain thorough documentation of project progress, design iterations, client feedback, and key milestones, and provide regular reports to stakeholders to track project performance and outcomes.What You Will GainCompetitive benefits including health insurance, paid holidays, and vacation payContinuous training to provide you the opportunity to develop your full potential and be a true business partnerAccess to an expansive network of mentors and networking opportunitiesTop quality technology to assist in your daily responsibilities to allow for more efficiencies to deliver outstanding customer serviceMinimum Job Requirements:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in graphic design, automotive design, industrial design, or a related field.Proven experience in automotive graphics design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating leadership, creative excellence, and successful project delivery in a collaborative team environment.Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), as well as 3D modeling/rendering software (e.g., Autodesk Maya, Blender).Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and mentor team members, and foster a positive and collaborative work culture.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey ideas, provide feedback, and build relationships with clients, team members, and stakeholders.Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for process improvement, innovation, and efficiency optimization.Experience in project management, including resource allocation, budget management, and risk assessment, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.Passion for automotive design and a deep understanding of design principles, branding concepts, and consumer behavior in the automotive industry.Physical RequirementsAbility to perform essential duties satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation.
